News: The Countdown Begins: Xbox 360 to hit Store Shelves

Xbox 360 is to hit store shelves in North America on Nov. 22, 2005, Dec. 2, 2005 in Europe and Dec. 10 in Japan. Microsoft announced today that retail manufacturing has begun on Xbox 360. The announcement was made on the eve of the Tokyo Game Show 2005. It marks the first time a game console will be released in three territories in the same time frame. This holiday season, gamers in Japan, Europe and North America will be able to experience jaw-dropping high-definition graphics, unmatched online play and compelling digital entertainment features of the Xbox 360. More than 200 games are currently in development and continuous new additions to the library are on the way. It is expected that a strong portfolio of titles on launch day and through the holidays that will appeal to fans of every genre of games.

News: Nintendo has entered the “Dog Days” of Summer

Redmond, Washington: On August 22, 2005 Nintendo launched Nintendogs™ which marked the beginning of the “dog days” of summer. Three versions of the cool puppy simulation, made exclusively for Nintendo DS™, arrived in stores to lead a succession of games through the end of the year.

Game Boy® Micro ships to stores on Sept. 19 at an MSRP of $99.99, multiple Mario ™ sports titles are due for the Nintendo GameCube™ and Nintendo DS now has a MSRP of $129.99, with an earth shaking new Nintendo DS Rumble Pak™ on the way for METROID® Prime Pinball. Nintendogs pups, however will lead the way.

Nintendo fans will have plenty of games to choose from in the coming months. Between now and the end of the year, players will have nearly 170 games released on the different Nintendo platforms.
